Over pressure inAcquity UPLC BEH C18 column (1.7um, 2.1 x 100mm) column
We have been using an Acquity UPLC BEH C18 column (1.7 um; 2.1 x 100 mm) column for Mycotoxin analysis (DON) with a gradient from 10% methanol to 100% Methanol. recently we have see high back pressure with the column (over 14,000 psi). Purchased anew column and even just flushing with 10% Methanol see the same high back pressure. Any suggestions or solutions?

Hi Alron1965,The M-Class backpressure limit is 15K - the 50/50 should not overpressure. Is the pressure limit set correctly in the console and/or method editor?0

You might have problems beyond the column. Try checking all of the peek tubing from the column down to the diverter valve to ensure there are no connections that are over-tightened and that there are no kinks in the tubing0
