During starting a sample set through empower 2, suddenly we observed ''General instrument error'' and instrument get interrupted. Before starting sample set, everything was OK. Kindly help to find the possible root cause of this error and what pre-check procedures can be adopted to minimize these types of error in future.

    Options
    Could be a problem with the Lace, try turning off the instrument, then powering on and off the Lace. Turn back on instrument and try a few injections. These random errors are known to happen in Empower 2.
