Can Empower read data from anther Hard Disk?

I am using Empower 3.8   Unfortunately, the Windows OS is broken.  Can I use Empower  from another PC to retrieve the data from the Hard Disk with broken OS?

    As long as you can retrieve the hard disk with data on it and make it accessible for your other computer you can import the data from there using the configuration manager.

    Thanks for your reply.  The configuration manager only can retrieve the backuped data.  I want to ask whether Empower can import recently acquisited data (without backup).

    If you backup projects, some extra files are created within the projects for restore purposes.
    You cannot restore projects without these files.

    We have contacted the engineer of Waters.  Unfortunately, the answer is “No!”.  I am very disappointed with the product of Waters.

    Your due diligence is to preform backups while your Empower system is working. If you do not then don't blame E3. Was this a standalone install or did you host the full Oracle database on this box? If its important you should be able to access the dat files from a run. But if there is no DB then you can't get at it. Always do backups! Simple and quick, save to another machine and your covered when Windows does what it does best.. Blessings ~ John c
