What does B**(-1) mean in a custom field?

    The ** symbol means exponent so a value of Area**3 means the value of area to the power of 3. A minus symbol means the inverse of 1, so that formula would return the value for B multiplied by the inverse of itself so if B was 34567 the result would be -34567.

    I understand that it would be in your example 1/ value of B, in your example 1/34567, or have I misunderstood. B being the slope of the curve?

    You are right, B**-1 means its 1/B
