Empower report method- can you include a word doc text saved as a picture?

I'm trying to add in a formatted few lines from a Word Doc into an Empower 3 report method, because the text box option is too limited for me in that you cant select and edit specific sections of the text, its all or nothing. I know Empower 3 can load a graphic and include that but the space is limited, about 1MB, and usually for logos etc.
Has anyone ever managed to save a word doc text as a picture and upload it as a graphic? I know its a long shot and I think I tried this years back and the picture went in tiny and squashed, but I have seen report methods with a specific text included (a Bold, Italic series of words and then space for a signature) and it looked ok. Any suggestions please? Thanks.
