Which antivirus to use with MassLynx/TargetLynx?

Dear Waters users,
We have very recently installed a new UPLC-TQ-S micro on our lab. We want to connect the LCMS data computer to our university's network (for making back-ups of data etc.). Our IT department has the policy that all devices that are connected to the network need to have a virus-scanner/internet security software. I understood from the FSE who installed our device, that the default Windows Defender will cause problems (= will consider MassLynx/TargetLynx a threat and will 'block' it). Any experiences from the community here with virusscanners that do work? Or could you indicate which software not to use other than Windows Defender? We are using MassLynx 4.2 on a W10 computer.
