Can I configure my processing method to only integrate known peaks with known retention times?
I am new to Empower 3, and when I am processing results from a chromatogram I would like the processing method to only integrate the known peaks with known retention times.
I have to set my minimum peak area rather low due to our LOQ for a specific analyte, and due to their being a bunch of other stuff in the sample, that I do not care about seeing any results for, I get many unknown peaks being integrated in-between the peaks I actually want to see the results for. Is there a way to configure the processing method to ignore/not integrate anything that isn't a known peak with a known retention time?
Thank you very much in advance

In the Integration tab of the processing method, under the Events, pick inhibit integration and apply it a few times, for instance you have a lot of unknowns between 3 and 5 minutes, start inhibit at 3, end at 5. Repeat until only your known peaks at known retention times are integrated.
The unknown peaks will still be there and visible but wont be integrated.0 -
This helped a lot! Thank you!0
