Waters 2487 detector problem
Hi,
We have a Waters HPLC system in lab. Recently the 2487 detector shows “Lamp data not found” and “System not calibrated” error message. I searched online, and find I need to replace the lithium battery, which is located on CPU board. I wonder that, it’s the CPU board of the computer, or there is a CPU board inside the detector? And how can I change the battery?
Thanks

There's a battery within the detector. Unplug it, remove the 4 side panel screws, remove the cover and you will easily find a CR2032 battery. Replace that and things should improve.
You may have to re-enter your lamp serial number and an approximation of how many hours it has on it.0
