How do I remove a sample manager initialisation fault?

Our bioSample Manager FTN lowers and retracts the injection needle when switched on, followed by a short rattling noise, and the error message: "Zp-axis home h/w fault". How do I remove this error? Repeated switching off/on does not do the job.
