Project Full Lock vs. Read only Lock ~ Why would you want to hide it?
I'm wondering why a Read Only Lock would not be used? We sometimes have requests to unlock an older project. When it's a Full Lock you can't see properties or print etc. Would it be better to allow older projects to have the View Only Lock instead? What am I missing ?

A full lock doesn't hide the project. I certainly don't use it often, but I have chosen it a few times over the Read-only lock. Most recently, that happened last year for me. We were selling off a product line and I had a few projects that we hadn't run in for a while that pertained to it. Due to the status of the sale, people shouldn't be viewing anything in that project without an explicit/valid purpose so I simply put a full lock on it.1
