6890 GC ethernet on Empower

<p>Slight repetition of my earlier question but is ethernet connection of an Agilent 6890 GC to an Empower 3 LACE supported? Would this need to be SR2 or later?</p>

    Hi Jason

    The answer is very simple:  No it is not . You need to connect a 6890 GC by using serial connections as this was the case in the past.

    Ok, thanks for the response. We are about to upgrade from SR1 to SR2 and I want to make sure I have looked at all possibilities first.

    I know the Agilent 7890 is supported on Empower 3 with Ethernet. But the 6890's still require serial to work on Empower.
