  • Hi !

    1. I think my company will will roll out Windows 7 in 12-18 months (some departments have started already). But it's not mandatory that the laboratory upgrade as well.

    2. Enterprise

    3. 32bit (64bit will be available)

    4. We use Vista today (some Empower computers have XP due to the Equinox-driver problem for Vista)

My Empower-system is enterprise, with about 70 users, and 20 LACE's

  • 1. When will your organization upgrade to Windows 7? Company deployment has already begun and will continue as desktops are refreshed per standard desktop refresh cycle.

    2. Which edition of Windows 7 will be rolled out in your organization? Professional

    3. Which version(s) of that Windows 7 edition will be rolled out? (32 bit, 64 bit, or both - if both, which one will be predominant?) 32 bit

    4. Did you previously use Windows Vista in your organization? If so, will it be replaced by Windows 7 or stay in use? Current standard is Windows XP, Vista is being bypassed in favor of 7.

The current limitation of being unable to print to SDMS from W7 will become more and more of an issue.  Ideally, a patch will be released for this (if it hasn't already).  The thought of a complete upgrade to fix this is daunting at the least.
