<p><span>We are trying to write an SOP to cover calibration and maintenance of the Acquity UPLC, one of the procedures mention the 10 mm flow cell in the detector. How do I know that our cell is the 10-mm cell and what other cells exist? What difference it makes one type of cell or the other? Thanks!!</span></p><p></p><p><span>deleon</span></p>

    Hello:

    We use the flow cell part number to define that. Each cell has a part number. Additionally, the flow cell will state "analytical" as well as the reference part number reference (and also a volume is given). For example the TUV will be p/n 205015008.

    If the cell says "high sensitivity" that is the 25 mm pathlength flow cell.

    If it is older PDA/TUV again the part number defined the flow cell and the cell will say "Capillary".

    If you do not have the part numbers, the best way is to go to service on the web site, find service tab, "find service part" and the graphical parts locator will get you the "ACQUITY UPLC System" and the detectors section is the one to work through.
