Deleteing files in Empower

<p>Is there any way to restore deleted files from empower? </p><p></p><p>I wanted to delete unnecessary files and ended up somehow deleting all my files. </p>

    Oh this is terrible. Here is an answer from GSS. Is there any chance that you have backups? These could be restored without having to take the steps following.

    "If the files are in the recycle bin they can be restored. If they deleted them completly then they need to remove then

    reinstall Empower. In pre empower you could do a program files only to restore missing or changed files. Hope it helps

    Liz,

    I did have our IT guy retrieve the deleted files and they are saved in another folder. Would I be able to use these files to restore the data?

    Could you give me more details as far as installing Empower back onto my computer and about the restoring missing or changed files. I am using the Amino Acid Analysis application, would I need to reinstall that as well? Also, would removing Empower delete all the settings that were set up when our machine was installed? I just want to make sure that this is something that I can handle without causing the system to get ruined.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Steve called me and there is nothing that can be done, except make sure to back up files on a regular basis for the next time. Thanks for your help though!!
