Instrument Status (in real time)

A request has been made to me to place a monitor in a lab that shows instrument status in real time (e.g. LC-1: running, LC-2: idle, etc.) so that users know which instruments are available to use.

It does not look like the system monitor or the analytics tool in Empower can accomplish this. Neither can EDS 365 from what I recall.

Anyone out there attempt to do anything similar? We have a lot of LCs and users ... some of us are in meetings all day. It would be nice to have a tool to let us know what is running a sequence, what is getting ready to run a sequence (i.e. pumping, equilibrating, etc), and what is just sitting there doing nothing.

    That's sounds like a really useful idea. Connecting to each system to check status takes a lot of time.
