Standard or default report methods - can they be changed?

Whenever we let our E3 enterprise version come up with a standard or default report method for pretty much everything, we get an errant footer where a report method ID field (with label) is running over a redundant report ID field. Is there any way to delete that redundant field so that it never shows up in standard/default reports (without violating the EULA by hacking schema)?

    Try Edit>Manage Defaults and remove it from the default reports, then when you save and apply your changes they should be gone. Does take a bit of time mind you, as there are a lot of standard and default reports.

  • Seems to work... As this is part of a composite footer.
    Can't help wondering if this could be done (once per report type) within the Defaults project?
